The goal of the project is to create a set of guidelines for designing user interfaces. The system draws inspiration from established design languages such as Google’s Material Design and Microsoft’s Fluent Design.
Core Principles
IcyMat Design emphasizes simplicity, functionality, and clarity, with a strong focus on UX and UI aspects.
The system is built around basic geometric shapes — rectangles, triangles, and circles — but now also allows for the use of rounded corners and soft gradients, adding a sense of smoothness and modernity to the interface.
A key element of the design language is its pastel color palette, which provides a light and cohesive visual aesthetic.
A dedicated typeface has also been introduced to improve readability and maintain visual consistency across devices.
IcyMat Design fully supports responsive web design (RWD), ensuring that interfaces are scalable and flexible across both desktop and mobile environments.
The overall system is centered around reducing visual noise and simplifying form to help users focus on content and functionality.
